Japanese FX, CFD and stock brokerage Rakuten Securities, a subsidiary of Internet services provider Rakuten Inc (TYO:4755), keeps expanding the offering of trading instruments to its clients.
Today, the broker announced that it will soon add nearly 200 stocks of US-listed and Hong Kong-listed companies to its offering. The new additions will be made available to trade from September 21, 2021.
The new US stocks to be added to the offering include ChipMOS Technologies Inc (IMOS), a semiconductor company that provides test and packaging solutions for integrated device manufacturers, and IC manufacturing plants.
Rakuten will start handling about 100 new US stocks, including the most recently listed stocks and the most requested stocks, such as the exploration company Oasis Petroleum (OAS).
Regarding the new Hong Kong stocks, these include additions such as XPeng (HKEX:9868), an electric vehicle manufacturer that designs, develops, manufactures, and sells smart EVs for the middle- and high-end car market, and pharmaceuticals mainly for the treatment of tumors, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases.
Rakuten Securities will start handling about 100 new brands that have been requested, such as the biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab (HKEX:9688).
The broker has been regularly expanding its offering. In August, for example, it added nearly 200 stocks of US-listed companies to its offering.
Also in August, the company announced the addition of 20 ETFs managed by US company First Trust.
